Best Fingerprint Reader For Windows 10
Will Windows 10 natively support fingerprint readers for doing more than just logging in? I have a fingerprint reader that is recognized by the OS, but the software that came with the reader fails to recognize the reader. Since Windows recognizes it, I amable to log in with the fingerprint reader just fine.
DigitalPersona Fingerprint Software for Windows 10. I believe the software I am looking for is called DigitalPersona Fingerprint Software v6.X but the links on the official Dell page are not working (the website www.digitalpersona.com is not accessible). There are also download links of v6.2.1.309 in a post from 2012, but also not working.
I do miss being able to log into certain applications by fingerprint, and so am wondering if this functionality will eventually be supported. I suspect I won't be getting any updated software from Dell,so this is probably the only hope for this.Thanks! Hi Ganesh.The software (DigitalPersona) worked fine after I upgraded an 8.1 machine to 10, just not on a fresh 10 installation. It installs and runs correctly, it just doesn't see that the fingerprint reader is installed, though Windows itself recognizes the readerjust fine. In my post I was as much suggesting that more biometric features be added to Windows because of situations like mine as much as trying to get this working now. It may be a future windows driver/update will help, and I know the compatibility wizardis not generally recommended for security software. Is fire tv 32 or 64-bit. So, my situation is that I deleted one of the accounts that I formally used the finger printer reader to access but it did not delete the fingerprintrecord.
When I try to scan my fingerprint for a new account it tells me that the finger is already scanned. So it is but the record points to a non-existing account.How do I get the reader to point to the correct account?
