First off to update a mod, open file explorer.Then go:Documents Paradox Interactive Europa Universalis IV mod open desired mod file with notepad. (Also: The type of file is 'MOD File' and for some it may open with 'Video' or something of the sort. Right click it Open With Notepad, bam!)Once you have opened the file with notepad, scroll to the very end of the top line (usuallly), and there you might see:supportedversion='1.16 (or something)Change the number to your current version of game. I'm not sure what the current version is and I never update the guide (sorry), but for example you'd just put the current version in.EXAMPLE: supportedversion='1.17 (or whatever)When done with that, you can exit and save. Now when you open EU4 your launcher won't be bombarded with stupid 'Outdated mods enabled' stuff or whatever, and you should actually be able to play your mods now!If this guide actually helped you, please spread it around.There are still unfortunate people that can't play their mods wondering the workshops.(Disclaimer: I have encountered only a few mods that would not work even if the supported version was changed. There are some mods out there aparently, that are in the mod creators mercy.).
So I was pretty wary about doing this (not to good with this sort of stuff) but the mod creator was ignoring me and I really wanted it updated so gave this a try and it worked really well! Thanks for making the instructions clear!It was only a simple unit pack mod but I found saving a screen shot of the original mod settings so i can reverse the change if something went wrong put my mind at ease.My only question is what happens if the orignal mod creator decides to update it anyway? Will that effect the changes I made? @Johnny That is in the disclaimer, I'm aware that mods don't work with this if the game updates something the mod has touched, but for the most point 90% of mods work after this.I did not mean to be a dick (sorry if I was) but I'm not calling every mod creator lazy.

I'm well aware that alot aren't able to update their mods for reasons (even aknowleged it) like maybe no free time and stuff, but there are lazy mod creators out there.And yeah maybe I have no room to talk until I make a mod, but I've seen mods that haven't been updated for literally years. Then at that point it may or not be laziness, and then what is the point of creating free content for everyone if they can't enjoy it because its outdated?But them not playing the game forever is a good point though.

- Go into that folder. Make a few more folders inside the one you just made: bin, mods, config. Decide what version of Minecraft you want to make your pack for, and download Minecraft Forge Universal. Move Minecraft Forge Universal from wherever you downloaded it to into the bin folder that you just created.
