The mod, which is officially called the ‘Resident Evil 4 HD Project,’ replaces virtually all of the textures found in the game’s three main locations with newly enhanced HD variants. Back when Capcom released its own HD remaster of Resident Evil 4 in 2014, some fans were disheartened to discover that it wasn’t quite as HD (high definition) as Capcom had originally promised, as most of the game’s textures had been left completely unaltered. There are still some final touch-ups that have to be made to certain character, weapon, and item models, but for the most part the mode is essentially finished, allowing players to experience Resident Evil 4 in a whole new way (at least visually).
