Star Wars Empire At War Crash Fix
This is a fix for the Star wars EAW and FOC. I had an issue where I would load the launcher and click play and then the program itself would not load. Here is how I fixed it.( disclaimer I tried a lot of things and I am not 100% sure how much is neededbut will review what I did.) First I copied the binkw32.dll and mss32.dll files into the windows systems directory from the EAW directory ( Programfilesx86/lucasarts/starwarsempireatwar). ( I am not 100% sure if you need to do this put I did to make sure)then I downloaded the official 1.05 ram patch from the Lucas art website and installed that.
I use steam.Anyway,I am running absolute corruption 2.4 2009 mod dated january 30th of 2009 at 3:59pm.This mod has known bugs and I discovers that unit selection and dragging units from planet surface to another planet halfway across the map causes bugs.same thing when in a space map or a ground map.you cannot select units and tell them what to do theyjust sit there.and a few other bugs that are known with his mod,so I found out to get a copy of the defreezer utility software developed by microsoft and it fixes game saves,etc.problem solved.
EDIT: So I raised a support ticket about the RAM Fix over on starwars.com and apparently the reason we couldn't find it is because it shows on the Empire a War page rather than the Forces of Corruption page. Oct 21, 2015 Hello, I got the Retail version of Star Wars Empire at War and Forces of corruption but Empire at war runs fine, but Forces of corruption crashes on launch with. Try google searching for your problem, thats the easiest way to find an answer. It works for me alot. I've not had a problem with EaW luckily and it's a good game.

When I try to run the patch it says that I need to insert the original disc. As far as I know, the disc hasn't been switched or anything.I can run the original Star Wars Empire at War just fine, it's just Forces of Corruption that refuses to start.If anyone knows how to fix this, advice would be much appreciated.
